Every day I am having to log in to various social netwoking system like FaceBook, Del.ico.us and many others online boomarking, blogging and email systems.
Unless I have not cleared my cookies on my computer or changed some setting, I have to manually log in my username and password to these sites.
What if I haven’t logged in to the site in months?
Creating an affiliate redirect page with PHP
So you have joined an affiliate program and wish to drive traffic to the website without revealing your affiliate link, why not create a simple affiliate redirect page using PHP.
In this example, we’ll create a stand-alone PHP page which will contain your affiliate link. When the online user visits your new page, they will be automatically re-directed to the affiliate website. A database connection for this example is not required, you simply need for PHP to enabled on your web host.

Start a Blogger Journal
Part of the indexing strategy for your new website or any existing
website is creating a Blogger weblog.
Why another blog?
I thought I already created one back when I set up WordPress?
A number of reasons and you may not see the benefits immediately, but
believe it or not, good Blogger blogs get indexed in the search engines.
In a matter of minutes I created a new blog and with their default
templates I can add RSS feeds, Google Adsense, links and more!
Links?
Yes, part of the indexing strategy to have others links to you …
moderately. Too many link may cause flags to be raised and then you’re
in trouble.
Also, Blogger sits on a different server than your website. Links coming
in from a different server or location also help as well. To be
discussed further in detail.
Also, it’s part of the Google family. Ties in nicely with your gmail and
Adsense monetization account.
Lastly, with Blogger you can easily post to the blog via email, whereas
with WordPress.com it is not possible and with your custom Wordpress
blog it takes a bit to set up.
Explore Blogger, review their
templates, customize and add page elements to the templates, easily
insert Adsense code and you are off and running with an additional
source for external links coming in to your website.
Here is a simple example of development journal I created ages ago and
simply forgot about.
http://antonjamm.blogspot.com/
The purpose of the development journal in my case is to post items that
I find through the day in regards to PHP, web development and affiliate
programs. Nothing fancy, but it gives you an ideas of the simple
capabilities of blogger.
As you can see, I’ve imported the RSS feed from SimpleWebsiteGuide.com
to preview on the main page of the Blogger website.
All this was set up within 20 minutes.
Your comments greatly appreciated
Post to WordPress blog with Thunderbird email
Well this will be my first test post to this blog via email - pretty
cool and hopefully much simpler.
I’ve tried out various 3rd party applications that help your post to
your various blogs via email, but some were clunky to set up, some
actually used up too much resources, etc. Too much to manage.
Why not set up an email address, write to the email address and have it
posted right away on your blog?
Indexing Step 4: Setting up Wordpress blog plugins
Now that you have set up your blog from the ‘getting indexed step 3‘ post, we’ll need to add a few plugins that do not come standard with WordPress.
Plugins?
Yes, plugins are like add-ons to your WordPress blog. They’re really simple to download, install and configure. Plugins can be anything from adding custom widgets to your blog to adding simple image galleries to your site.
Why plugins for search engines?
Indexing Step 3: Create a blog
A blog? What do I need a blog for?
Look around, they’re everywhere now. Many multi-national companies have blogs, Google has had a blog for ages (in internet terms), a relative of yours may already have a blog, people are blogging.
Well what is a blog?
According to WikiPedia Blog entry:
A blog is a website where entries are written in chronological order and commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject such as food, politics, or local news; others function as more personal online diaries.
