Upgrading your WordPress to 2.3

WordPress upgradeYes there’s a new version of WordPress out.

Should you update your current version? Absolutely!

How long does the upgrade take? Roughly 10 minutes

Any fiddling or adjustments? No

Where is the new version located? On the WordPress download page …

What is the process?

  1. Review the Upgrading WordPress webpage
  2. Download the new verison
  3. Save to local drive and upload to your server.
  4. Maintain your ‘wp-contents’ folder (this is where your custom plugins and site templates are located)
  5. After upload has been complete, run the upgrade file
    example: www.yoursite.com/blog/wp-admin/upgrade.php
  6. Done

I upgraded for a number of reasons, most common being the ability to post to blog by email!
